Buccaneer State Park

Today was another moving day. We left LeFleur's Bluff State Park around 11:00. Our next stop will be Buccaneer State Park in Waveland Mississippi which is about 3 hours away. We chose to take Hwy 49 south out of Jackson. At Hattiesburg we picked up I-59 south then to Hwy 53 (somewhat narrow and winding) then Hwy 603. Once we reached Hwy 90 the GPS directed us through a residential area and then to South Beach Blvd and Buccaneer S.P.

We got set up then Dennis installed the battery water system he purchased with the new batteries. We got everything hooked up then noticed it was missing a pump. He called a local Trojan battery dealer to see if they had the part. They did not but checked for us and called back to say they have the part coming in tomorrow. Wow what great service! They will call us tomorrow when it arrives and we will pick it up.

Where we're parked: Buccaneer StatePark – Waveland Mississippi

Site 12- $25.00/night – There are 6 loops in the campground. All sites have sewer, water and electric with either asphalt or gravel pads. There is also an area within sight of the Gulf which do not have pads, only sand and have water and electric but no sewer. The Gulf view sites are $37 per night.
