After breakfast we took a short walk
around the campground. Talked to another camper who is camping here
for two months. He told us he is getting a monthly rate of $530. It
seems unusual to us that a State Park gives monthly rates. That would
never happen in Wisconsin. As we were talking to him Dennis' phone
rang. It was the gal from the battery store letting us know the part
had arrived. So we hopped in the truck and headed for Gulfport. Its
a 45 minute drive but is very scenic as we drove along the gulf
coast.
After picking up the part we headed
back to the campground. We stopped at visitor centers in Gulfport and
Bay St. Louis to get information on the area. We also stopped at a
pier and walked out on it to see if anyone was fishing. The fish must
not be biting as no one is fishing. We were both getting hungry and
stopped at a place called Cuz's for a bite to eat. Dennis had seafood
gumbo and I had a crab cake burger. Both were very good.
Back at the camper Dennis installed the
part on the battery fill and topped off the batteries. Hung around
the camper the rest of the day. It was a little cooler today as it
only reached 60 degrees and was a little windy. Supposed to be cool
tomorrow too and then start warming up next week.
