Mermaids!

Friday temps: High 75º, Low 63º
Saturday forecast: High 75º, Low 51º

Saturday. Ah oh! I think I am already getting lazy on my blog. I have not posted anything since Wednesday! The weather has been gorgeous so we are spending a lot of time outside. Last night we went for a walk and ended up visiting with some folks (Doug and Ann) from Canada that own a place here. They invited on their deck for a drink. We left around 9:30 so I did not feel like writing anything last night.

Thursday we did not do anything special. Just got to know the park a little better. I went to Zumba in the morning and stayed for part of the Walking Workout which followed. Dennis walked outside and went on the treadmill at the clubhouse. In the afternoon we went to the pool. We went out to eat for supper at Frank's Diner. Dennis had clam pasta and I had stuffed shrimp. There are a lot of local mom and pop restaurants in the area so its tempting to go out a lot to try them all. However its not good for our pocket book or our waste lines.

Friday we both worked out again then went to Weeki Wachee State Park to see the mermaid show. Cindy took me to see this when I was here visiting them a few years ago. It was still enjoyable, at least for me. Not so sure about Dennis. I am sure Henry would get a kick out of it. In addition to the mermaid shows you can take a boat ride on the Weeki Wachee River as well as see the Wildlife show. We saw two of the mermaid shows and took the boat ride but did not do the wildlife show. The cost to get in was $13 per person which is a pretty good deal. Friday night we had supper at home and as I mentioned above visited with some neighbors.

Our camper is oriented so when we are outside we are sitting on the south side. And because the sun is still pretty low in the sky our awning does not provide any shade. To solve this we purchased a awning screen/shade. It was pretty pricey at $200 but the lower half zips off and the upper half will roll up in the awing so to take it off or put it on you just use the zipper. Nice!
